Bit90 came to us with a story to tell: the history of Bitcoin and its forks, with a point of view on which versions stayed true to Satoshi Nakamoto's original mission. They wanted it told as an animated short.
The look was set early: a cyberpunk atmosphere drawn in an orthographic style, a flat, measured camera that keeps the world graphic and easy to read. A robot character fronts the film.
The narrative was developed with the client over a series of working sessions, so the history stayed true to their view and the visuals carried the argument.

Three months from first session to finished film. It landed well with Bit90's community, helped by the intrigue around the client's possible connection to Satoshi Nakamoto.
This was longer-form storytelling than our usual product work, but the method is the same: build the world once, then let the camera and the story do the rest.
