After the Bit90 short film was released, the client wanted to extend it into a collection of NFTs: cards featuring key moments and easter eggs from the story, plus an animation to market the drop.
Because the film's world already existed in 3D, its characters and settings could be re-staged for each card rather than redrawn. Each design picks out a moment or a hidden detail that people who had seen the film would recognise.
The designs were developed closely with the client so every card matched their vision of the story, then rendered and animated into a launch piece showing the collection together.
The collection and its launch animation kept interest in the story going after the film's release.
It shows a principle that applies to any product: once the 3D assets exist, a new format is a re-use of the build, not a new production.
